Physiotherapy is primarily concerned with the diagnosis and treatment of injuries of soft tissue (such as muscles, tendons and ligaments), bones and nerves.
Here at our private physio clinic, we will conduct a thorough assessment and diagnosis to understand where the issue lies. Unlike some clinics, we can provide specialists for each clinical area to give a diagnosis, including ordering scans and referring to necessary specialists. Damage to your soft tissue, bones or nerves may result in pain, pins and needles, numbness, swelling, bruising, stiffness or weakness. That’s where we come in. Our physiotherapists will work with you to establish which structure has been damaged and how. By understanding what caused the injury, we can focus on treating it and preventing it from recurring. We focus on solution-based treatment rather than you relying on our long-term input.
Following this, we will discuss your treatment goals and create a plan that suits you. This may include joint and soft tissue mobilisation and manipulation; taping of joints and injured tissues; acupuncture; exercise prescription; clinical Pilates; Shockwave Therapy or sports-specific rehabilitation including end of range high sports-specific rehabilitation. We will also carry out a biomechanical assessment here at our physio clinic, which includes posture correction and gait analysis.
We have state-of-the-art equipment available, such as a Pilates reformer and Shockwave Therapy if required. With years of experience in this profession, our private physiotherapists have a wealth of expertise, including musculoskeletal conditions, lower limb, adolescence injury, hand therapy, arthritis, ligament injuries, fractures, and more.
